This place is good if you want a little bit of everything. It has the top dim sum options, along with some hong kong style options like baked spaghettis and wonton noodles. Tried mostly their dim sums which I must say are surprisingly good. Their hargows are fresh and yummy. I love their egg yolk custard buns that are black. Their spare ribs are tasty and not super fatty like dimsum parlors. We also tried one of the baked spaghettis which my daughter loved. I'm okay with it but she likes that sweetness. It's a small cafe with a few tables and what seems like maybe outdoor seating is possible.

HOW WAS THE ATMOSPHERE? We had an amazing evening at the Orchid Tea Cafe. Upon walking in, it was a busy but calm atmosphere! Definitely unique decor! Because the space is so small, we called beforehand to make sure there was a table available, and when we came in, she asked if we called and definitely accommodated us! Even if I am not in the neighborhood, this is a great spot to travel to when I want a nice quiet, cozy place with a Amazing Food and great service to meet up with a friend or go out on a date HOW WAS THE FOOD? We got Rose Black Wolfberry Tea, a hot coffee boba (no bubbles), the volcano mussels, the cucumber salad, and the seafood spaghetti Volcano Mussels and Spicy cucumber salad (wasn't that spicy- but I believe you can adjust spiciness) both were a 10 out of 10 My friend had the spaghetti seafood pasta. She would probably say it was a 7.5/10. They ran out of tapioca bubbles, so we were not able to try them. WAS THE SERVICE GOOD? I believe we were helped by the owner of the shop? We met her son and immediately felt right at home. It was like she welcomed us right in. Even though they were consistently receiving orders, she was still very attentive and answered all of our questions WILL WE COME BACK? When I am in the neighborhood, I will 100% be returning back - #1 for the service #2 for the flavor of food ( am a big flavor snob) and #3 for the atmosphere

Food is so delicious! Make sure you go with plenty of time - service is slow, I think there's two locations? We went to the one on the corner of 8th Ave and 47th st. Probably about 8 tables. I got the orchid noodle soup and my husband got the shrimp fried rice. Both delicious. The fried rice comes out covered by an egg in the shape of a dome and it looks beautiful and tastes great. Nice ambiance - I like the flower lampshades.

Super friendly and cozy cafe with snacks and lovingly hand crafted bubble teas served in big mason jars. I went after school with the kids since we were in the neighborhood and sat drawing and doing a bit of homework as we watched regulars stop by and chat with each other and with the owner/counterperson. There is a community vibe and that extends to the entire globe, judging from all the international hand drawn messages of love and cute doodles from every corner of the earth hung on the back wall. We had three perfect teas: jasmine milk, brown sugar milk, and mango milk (with real diced mango). All of them perfectly delicious and fresh. I only wish it was closer to me so I would visit more often!

Orchid Tea Cafe is indeed a hidden gem in Sunset Park, offering a delightful experience for those in search of a cozy spot for drinks and light fare. With an unassuming corner location, there is limited seating, comprising just a couple of tables. Though it does foster an intimate and charming atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed hangout with friends or a date. The cafe's interior is adorned with plants and books, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The drinks, which everyone thought were great, contribute to the overall charm. However, be prepared for cash-only. If you're in the neighborhood, it's a spot worth seeking out for a cozy spot.

Very cute, cozy drink/hang out spot in Sunset Park -- a hidden gem. It's on a side street so it might be hard to find and not much people know about it. They also have a sister cafe by same name down the avenue which offers more food. This spot is more for a hang out spot with your friends after dinner. The place is small and only have about two tables. However, the ambiance is great. The place is decorated with plants, books, games. It really gives off that cozy, homey vibe. The drinks are great. I just wish they offer more dessert variety. FYI -- Cash only.

New favorite cafe in this neighborhood! Cozy is definitely the right word to describe this teeny tiny shop which seats 3 tables. The owner was extremely friendly and was very attentive when making my drink to ensure the taste and presentation was solid. The decoration was so cute and I couldn't help but take tons of photos and videos. Definitely a cute date spot for snacks and drinks. I got the mango orange tea and it is so refreshing and filled with tons of fresh fruit! I am definitely coming back here again.

Came here on a Friday night. There was a little bit of a wait because there were a few people in front of me and I ordered a snack, but there's tables for you to sit and wait at. The bubble tea tasted very fresh and had a strong tea flavor. We ordered a brown sugar milk tea and a jasmine milk tea. The bubble tea wasn't overly sweet like some of chain places. The walnut shrimp was delicious! Great tasting sauce and good ratio of sauce to shrimp. There's broccoli underneath for presentation - I don't typically eat that. Will be coming back to try more things! Note that they are cash only.
